FOREIGN DONATIONS WELCOME*

*MŒSES will earmark foreign contributions for education expenditures only.

Contributions or gifts to MŒSES

ARE NOT deductible

as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

There's money to be made in the business of charities,

and that is one way MŒSES is different from most:

every dollar donated with be allocated to helping another,

not a cent for salaries,

altruism is its own reward.

The IRS compels MŒSES to report on Form 990 the donors who contribute $5,000+.

The privacy of keeping your

name and donation

out of the public domain will be fiercely protected.

MŒSES believes in the right to anonymity

in order to have a voice without fear of repercussion.

Balancing the principles of off the record (as in priviledged information)

with exposure where reasonably warranted

is difficult but necessary in a free and civil society to help ensure social justice.

Less than half of all donations will be funneled toward political expenditures,

as the arena of politics is not the primary purpose of MŒSES

If you donate at least $13,000 in a single transaction, you may request a gratis business meeting dinner with the president of MŒSES. **

Regarding the applicability of gift tax on contributions to 501(c)(4) organizations, the IRS issued this statement on its website  July 7, 2011:

The Internal Revenue Service has little history to draw from in this area and the limited guidance we previously issued on this matter is almost thirty years old. While we review the need for additional guidance or legislation, we will not use resources to pursue examinations on this issue. Any future action we take will be prospective and after notice to the public. As we consider this issue, it is possible that Congress may choose to clearly articulate through legislation the applicability of the gift tax to contributions to 501(c)(4) organizations.

My heartfelt thanks goes out to the courts, Republicans, Karl Rove, Ham Rove, Democrats, Trevor Potter, and Stephen Colbert for their roles in spawning MŒSES.

My deepest thanks goes to my son because MŒSES ultimately came into existence in tandem with his R.A.D. Super PAC. It was a fun civic activity to do together: participating in the protest against the outrageous state of America's campaign finance laws by exposing and underscoring the shambles with shenanigans. Because of "the boy" — his help, encouragement, and love — MŒSES morphed into something new, exciting, and fulfilling. We enjoy engaging in positive deviance. Thanks also to my dear hubby, quite the opposite of me in many respects, for his unwaivering support and reminders to "Be true to yourself." Also to my parents, friends, and family, and everyone I meet who makes me smile and laugh, thank you for the shared moments — and for shaping me!

"Honesty is the best policy —

when there is money in it."
